Free Image editing software

Here are a few free image editors to try out:

Seashore: http://seashore.sourceforge.net (mac)

Paint.NET: http://www.getpaint.net (windows)

Both of these are cut down versions of what PhotoShop does.

GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/ (win/mac/linux)

GIMP is powerful, but geeky.

Password heaven

Passpack secure password online storage

This little online service is the source of much joy at the moment.

100 Passwords and site accesses stored for free. I tried using Roboform, but that only has 10 or 15 free – I access over 40 sites.

Login automatically and securely, wherever you are. It’s all encrypted sent via SSL. There’s also a little offline applications that synchronises with the online version.

Go check Passpack out – I’ll let you know what else it can do.

Mac hack for PCs

If you are feeling a bit trapped on your PC, but want a little Mac love – try the RK Launcher – just like the Apple leopard launcher.

Thanks to Jo Ford for finding this (… until the Mac book pro comes!)

www.Wetpaint.com is also a free social networking tool, based on a wiki style system.
